We are the Holland family who live in Rome, Italy. We love what we do! Since 2008, we have been sharing the gospel with transient people in global cities. In 2017, we began forging a gospel-centered church in Rome, Italy, Today, Loren serves as pastor of that church, Rome International Church. Diversity is the norm at our church with most everyone in the room coming from a different country and culture. The english language and Jesus are what knits our souls together. It is our desire to see internationals, whether refugee, diplomat, business person or tourist, all find their eternal home in Christ.
Over the yeas, we've seen the need for a mission agency that focuses on serving English-language churches in global cities that are seeking to reach the nations with the gospel of Jesus Christ. So, in 2023 we created Worlds Crossing, a missions agency that serves these churches with resources and staff from the United States.
Our family loves learning, so books are aplenty in our home. Loren enjoys the pursuit of a new idea that will expand the kingdom, highlight to local church, and increase other's delight in Jesus. Sometimes that means drumming, working out, or enjoying a house full of guests. Alaina loves getting together over a cup of tea to study the Bible with anyone regardless if they have read it before or not. We have 4 kids. With three boys and a girl we love to spend our sabbath day hiking and exploring God's creation.
Both of us (Loren and Alaina) grew up as missionary kids in South America, So, we are very familiar with individuals living outside their home culture. Pray with us as we continue to develop a mission strategy both locally and internationally, with the goal to plant more International Churches at the crossroads of cultures.
