Subsuelo is the spanish word for basement. That is where the coffee shop is located. In the basement of the old CMA Dorm on the Alliance Academy campus.

We are so excited to see this new ministry launch on the Alliance Academy campus. This grew out of a desire to minister directly to the community of the school through relational means. This place allows us to have a sit-down heart-to-heart conversation on campus with students. In a small way we are able to engage in the relational ministry that Jesus taught us to do.
The community is really the heart-beat of the school. With the coffee shop and its area we are able to bring that community together through events. Each month we do a night where students and faculty are invited to share some talent. This has been a marvelous success as friends and family show up to hear people perform.
We are excited to see what God has for the coffee shop as he continues to provide the funds we need to operate. Take a moment to look at the pictures by clicking on the PHOTOS link at the bottom of this page. This summer we hope to recreate the space we have and make it a more inviting place. Some re-plumbing, rewiring and relocating will be required. We hope to build a large wrap around counter in the area between the blue arches. We will need help doing this; financially and physically. If you would like to be a part of this renovation by coming to Ecuador or by giving toward our project, let us know.
